Getting Inspired

I found another blog/forum about being inspired called: http://beinspiredtoday.ning.com where a lovely lady called Julieanne has obviously spent a lot of time and effort gathering information and aquaintances to help inspire people. This is the post I read today:

"We all know about the power of Gratitude but sometimes in the hustle
and bustle we forget to be in a state of gratitude.

Gratitude brings us out of a feeling of lack and changes our
perspective on the world around us. It is a gentle process that can
shift you in a matter of minutes.

I thought it might be fun to have somewhere to 'put it out there'.
Just choose 5 things that you are grateful for today.

Today I am grateful for

the music I am listening to
the warm weather
good coffee
knowing that I am loved
... and my dishwasher ;)

I feel better already :)

Hope to hear what everyone else is grateful for :)

Many Blessings,

Julieanne"

Good place to start!
Gratitude is the first step to raising your self esteem in many ways,
it reminds us of what and who we have around us. It reminds us we're
not alone and we're not failing no matter what is happening in our
lives. Every one of us can remember something from our past that
seemed bad at the time but on reflection led us to a better place. We
may have broken up with a partner and been devastated only to find a
new love further down the road. We must look back on those experiences with gratitude for they make us who we are today.

If you're going through a tough time right now it's almost impossible to see that this very thing you are going through will lead you to something positive further along in your life.

Find the strength, hope and resilience to
persevere - you'll be glad you did. :)

Why Weight Loss Diets Don’t Work!

99% Of Weight Loss Diets Concentrate On Totally
The Wrong Thing And That’s Why They Don’t Work
For The Majority Of People - Do You Know What It Is?

If you’ve ever been on a diet you’ll be familiar with the following:

Calorie counting
Visiting online forums
Joining weight loss classes and support groups
Measuring your waistline daily
Weighing yourself obsessively
Exercising
Checking your BMI (and getting confused!)

The list could go on and on, but one thing is for sure - it didn’t
last did it? Yeah you may have lost a few pounds, maybe even a couple
of stone but sure as night follows day you put most if not all of it
back on.

Now don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things in the list that
will definitely help you shed pounds, but the reason none of it lasts
is because something is out of whack.

Let’s take a look at some ‘simple’ psychology, ask yourself this question:
When was the last time you wanted to lose something?
Did you answer it? I mean it doesn’t make sense does it? Do you want
to lose your job? Do you want to lose your wallet or purse? Do you
want to lose your friends or your house or your mobile phone or even
your way? No. You don’t like to ‘lose’ stuff - period!

We are programmed to ‘Get’ stuff.
Get a new car, Get a wonderful partner, Get married, Get a great job,
Get a million dollars etc.
So what?
So, maybe this whole ‘losing’ weight concept is backwards, maybe
concentrating on ‘losing’’ weight just goes against the grain, against
the programming. Instead, maybe we should be focusing on ‘Getting’
fitter, Getting healthier, Getting a better shape, Getting happier,
Getting ourselves down the gym or in the pool or on the sidewalk
jogging or even walking - releasing those endorphins, allowing the
serotonin to flood out so we can get a better feeling about ourselves.

Here’s my challenge to all those out there unhappy with their weight
or shape - try refocusing on the positive ‘Getting’ and drop the
negative idea of weight ‘loss’. Try it and see.

Start Eating, Start living and Start Getting what you want in this life!

Are you feeling stuck?

Hiya,

I was reading a book about scientific anomolies last night - oh yeah, I know how to live! :)
Anyway, talking of waiting for a breakthrough with one such equation he said something I found quite profound:
"When you're feeling really stuck, get ready, you're about to make a great leap forward."

So if you're feeling stuck in any way at the moment, get ready...
